How do you react to stimulants?

I am just in the process of my diagnosis and I have a question for you all.  Before you began your treatments, how did your body react to certain stimulants (coffee, tea, energy drinks, soda,  stimulant medication)?

A few months ago I was put on ADHD medication.  (I am a 33 year old woman)

I started on Ritalin which made me super tired like I couldn't  even drive. Then I was put on Adderall and from the start my heart went insane. Heart rate in the 160s for a two or three days just from one small dose and would have chest pain and shortness of breath.  Everything I read online about my reaction was discussing people who were Adderall addicts and were taking massive amounts...

I told my doctor I didn't want to continue taking it and he referred me to a cardiologist and shortly after I had a cardiac ablation to fix SVT,  but the procedure concluded that my heart was fine.

Sometimes (not all the time)  if I drink large amounts of caffeine something similar happens-- severely tachycardic and weak and tired with a crash that lasts days.

I have since sworn off all stimulants but I'm curious if Addison's disease patients can relate or if I need to continue looking into other possible heart problems.

Thank you for any input!
