Below range DHEA?

Hi, my endocrinologist checked my DHEA and it is below range, why would this be?

DHEA 2.3 (2.7 - 7.5)

Thanks

Dhea is a precursor hormone so are they going to test estrogen, testosterone and see if you have an androgen issue? Or a pituitary issue?
It is produced in the adrenals so they can do more testing, and keep an eye on it. But just the one test does not tell you much. You need more testing.
