just a question

I have had elevated pth and ca levels off and on for years. I recently had lab work and noticed slightly elevated cortisol levels with my pth and ca now normal. Is there some underlying problem I should be concerned with.

thank you. I have felt tired lately. How did you get diagnosised with Cushings? How high was your cortisol level--if you do not mind me asking?

Your doctor should be shot for ignoring your PTH issue - you probably have a small tumor in your parathyroid gland. Your calcium levels should never be abnormal. That is dangerous. It is called Hyperparathyroid.

After you find another doctor, you can get the elevated cortisol levels looked into. If you are not taking steroids, then you have to look into seeing if you have a source such as a pituitary tumor, adrenal tumor or other - but this would not be related to the PTH issue. It is called Cushing's syndrome.

I had Cushing's disease. I also have a PTH problem but mine is low - hypoparathyroid.
