Been waiting for this day for awhile now and when i finally get to post it is after midnight!!!

I am so incredibly proud of you my friend.  I know what a struggle this has been but you have kept fighting even in some pretty dark hours.  I have always appreciated your honesty and staying true to what you believe in.  You have always just laid it out there.  There are no games with you and that is so refreshing.  I have mad respect for you and i believe the sky is the limit for you.  There is nothing you cant do.  I know these "baby steps" are frustrating at times but there is a reason for that and you are realizing that now.  Follow your dreams Tara cuz you will achieve them~~~Congrats on 1 yr sober!    hugs to you,      sara

I am doing well, loving life and my babies(2 legged and 4 legged). Waiting for summer, not patiently anymore either!!!  Ibizan and i are getting ready to move into our new rooms so i hope you have them all done for us!!!!  lol

Thank you so much for this post sara! You have been there for me since I first got on this site 2 1/2 years ago. Thank you for acknowledging my mama as well! She got me on here and she has been helping people for almost 3 years on this site, but she was not an alcoholic and could only help so much when it came to me. That's why I'm so grateful that our paths crossed sara. I've always been a non-conformist and independent thinker but I needed more than just a counselor to work through this with. I needed to know someone that could be an example for me of how we do this thing called life once we sober up. You're been so supportive and open with me and I've been thankful the entire time that I've had you as a cheerleader. This website has some pretty amazing people on it and I appreciate all the words of kindness that I receive from everyone.
I'm finally feeling proud of my self for changing my life in such a huge way. I used to just dismiss it like "eh, I should have done it years ago", but now I think that I gotta give myself some credit for putting in so much effort to save myself from myself. My boyfriend just celebrated two years last week. I told him Friday night after we went to his niece's soccer game, and a street festival down in the city, that I am so happy to have a sober boyfriend because it really does make things easier on me to have his support, understanding and companionship. This has been a journey 33 years, coming up on 34 years, in the making. I am grateful for so much. <3 to you all!

lol the Cork accent where I come from is a very funny, we talk with a high pitched tone, we finish sentences with "like" or "boy" we have a large number of dialect words that are peculiar to the city and environs some of these words originate from the Irish language.
