Help, I need answers

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me.  My mother is 83 and has been drinking for 30 years.  She is now in the hospital with rectal bleeding off and on.  The doctors are not saying anything and I am so worried.  Her abdomin is very bloated and her chest is hurting.  She stopped bleeding for now, they gave her something to stop. She also cannot have a bowel movement.  Is this the end for her, should I get prepared.  What should I do?  Help.

Hi, I have more information.  Her abdomen is very bloated.  She has chest pain and her legs and feet are swelling.  She cannot have a bowel movement.  She has some confusion.  That is all we know, no one is telling us anything.  We cannot find the doctor and the nurses don 't say anything.  We are so stressed out.  thanks gm for your help.
