Immune to Alcohol, THC and caffeine???

Hello,

So, long story short, I just moved out of my parents house and have started experimenting. I went out one night with my friends and had tried alcohol for the first time. I had an entire Four Loko (caffeinated 14% ABV drink, 23.5 fl oz) and waited a bit but didn't feel anything. At this point I decided to drink a vodka cranberry. At some point in the night I did a shot of tequila with my friends. Everybody was visibly drunk and giggly and all that fun stuff and I felt the same as when I entered the club.

Fast forward a few weeks to when my buddy buys some weed brownies from a guy on campus. The instructions that came with it were "1 brownie for normal smokers, 2 for heavy smokers". I had one whole even though I'd never smoked weed before because I just kinda wanted to see what would happen and I was in a safe environment. An hour later, nothing happened. I ate another 1 and a half. Nothing happened.

Fast forward again to mid terms. I was studying really hard all throughout the night, every night. That being said, the next day would always be hell for me trying to operate on half a night's sleep. I started drinking coffee and it didn't do much so I went to GNC and bought some pure caffeine pills. I started with just 200mg and worked my way up to 600mg of pills plus a cup of coffee. Nothing. I was just as tired as the previous day.

Basically, it's starting to seem like whatever I try, whatever I do, nothing happens. I've taken into account the theory that sometimes when you're high/drunk, you don't feel like you are but the people around you see it. People around me have confirmed that they don't notice a change in me either. One last thing, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with this but, BOTH of my parents are alcoholics. Could I have been born with some sort of super high tolerance? Even for substances other than alcohol? Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on the situation. I just want to be a normal college girl.

Please always keep in mind, that there are harmful side effects to all drugs and alcohol and some of your friends that are using drugs and alcohol now, will in time, become addicted. Hopefully that 's not going to be you like it was me. Be happy, you're free and in college. and working towards a career and a family life. Be happy to celebrate your life without having to feel your body experiencing chemical highs. Think of yourself in years to come, maybe celebrating the birth of your first child with the partner of your dreams. Now think, would you or should you expect a chemical high to celebrate the moment ? or would you be better off being able to celebrate life's greatest moments with a clear head? Do you want to remember your wedding day ? or you would rather be tipsy and not able to remember the speed given by your best man? who might be your brother ? You don't have to be void of your senses to be a 'normal college girl. There are plenty of normal college girls who don't want to learn how to be tipsy , they would rather know how to celebrate with their families in the way god intended, clean and sober. It's one suggestion anyways, for what's it's worth (from an addict who now incidentally is clean and sober and happily celebrating life every single day, moment to moment).

I think you are a normal college girl. Nothing can replace a good nights sleep for being prepared in the morning for classes, and being in control in social situations can be fun too. Watch a few people and what they do when they are not in control of their alcohol drug use, it can be a very illuminating experience, You might even feel blessed that you have not been there , done that .... i would. but it's too late for me. My tolerance for drugs and alcohol went down the toilet along with my reputation. What i'm really trying to say here, is 'be careful what you wish for" , and "inebriation is not all it's cracked up to be" and "you can have fun without being drunk or stoned" , and you'll be more respected for staying straight than you can imagine, you just have to wait for it, wait for your friends that are battling hangovers to be envious of your clear head.

There is a genetic predisposition towards alcoholism/addiction in families. It sounds like you ingest substances with the intention of seeing how much it will take you for a desired effect-do you view this as a flashing red light?
