Hello,
So, long story short, I just moved out of my parents house and have started experimenting. I went out one night with my friends and had tried alcohol for the first time. I had an entire Four Loko (caffeinated 14% ABV drink, 23.5 fl oz) and waited a bit but didn't feel anything. At this point I decided to drink a vodka cranberry. At some point in the night I did a shot of tequila with my friends. Everybody was visibly drunk and giggly and all that fun stuff and I felt the same as when I entered the club.
Fast forward a few weeks to when my buddy buys some weed brownies from a guy on campus. The instructions that came with it were "1 brownie for normal smokers, 2 for heavy smokers". I had one whole even though I'd never smoked weed before because I just kinda wanted to see what would happen and I was in a safe environment. An hour later, nothing happened. I ate another 1 and a half. Nothing happened.
Fast forward again to mid terms. I was studying really hard all throughout the night, every night. That being said, the next day would always be hell for me trying to operate on half a night's sleep. I started drinking coffee and it didn't do much so I went to GNC and bought some pure caffeine pills. I started with just 200mg and worked my way up to 600mg of pills plus a cup of coffee. Nothing. I was just as tired as the previous day.
Basically, it's starting to seem like whatever I try, whatever I do, nothing happens. I've taken into account the theory that sometimes when you're high/drunk, you don't feel like you are but the people around you see it. People around me have confirmed that they don't notice a change in me either. One last thing, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with this but, BOTH of my parents are alcoholics. Could I have been born with some sort of super high tolerance? Even for substances other than alcohol? Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on the situation. I just want to be a normal college girl.
