Hey,
I'm a 32 year old male, I've been drinking just about every night for the last 2 and a half years. On average I'll go through a 1.75 liter bottle in 3 nights (40%). Lately, I've noticed some changes. For a while now, my stomach feels bloated and full (not just a large abdomen, but everything feels overfull), and I almost always have liquid stool that comes on very quickly, but for the past couple of weeks or so I find that it takes less alcohol to get me drunk, and I'm eating hardly anything at all. Also, when I've been waking up in the mornings, sometimes I'll feel drunk for the entire day, and just kind of paranoid/depressed.
My question is, is this enough time and alcohol content to be seriously worried, or are all these things still pretty common territory with being an alcoholic? And should I be worried if I try to stop drinking cold turkey?
Thank you.
My friend, you might need medical attention to detox. Check with a doctor. Can't afford a doctor? -find a CVS or other mini-clinic and get examined by a PA. That usually costs $65-$75. After, you need a solid plan of recovery. Detox is an event, recovery is a process that never ends. The idea is to learn to not drink and enjoy life sober. It CAN be done. Im doing it along with many people on this site. Just asks us more questions about that aspect...
