lightheadedness from binge drinking for weeks

I regularly dont drink very much but one weekend (about 2 weeks ago) i got together with some friends and we partied for like 4 days. On the second night i vomited and for the next couple days i had little to no food .On the third night i only had 1 or 2 beers and the last night i didnt drink at all. Its been almost 2 weeks and ever since that weekend ive felt really out of it and light headed but recently it seems have gotten a little worse. im 16, about 6 feet tall and weigh 145. some could consider me a light weight when it comes to drinking. Ive done some research online and im just looking for more info on what could be going on. should i go to the doctor, or are there just some home remedies i should use? please, any help is appreciated. thanks for your time!

Hi Joe,

I've just read this and hope the medical all works out for you, as I'm sure it will.

As for the binge you describe, a good exercise for that is to search on-line for one of the hundreds of "do I have Alcohol problems?" tests that are available. In sharing my experiences with you, I actually took one of those tests out of a newspaper article way back in the mid-70's and failed it miserably. One strong point the article made to me was the 2-drink test. It asked if I could take just 2 drinks (or beers) and then walk away from the rest of the alcohol left over without wanting to drink anymore, or giving it another thought. Write back and let me know your thoughts on that question.

Ok so today I told my dad about how I've been feeling lately(he already knows about the drinking) and he said it is just a bug and that it's not necessary to go to the doctor. he works I a hospital so I usually trust him with medical advice but I convinced him to set up an appointment. I'm going on Monday and I'll keep u posted

Hi Joe,

Hard to say what is going on...you are still not hung-over, that's for sure. I would recommend seeing a doctor. Something else is going on. Please tell your doctor about the, drinking though so he has the whole picture, and discuss with your parents

Good luck and keep us posted, K?
