Is he an alcoholic in denial!??

I think a guy i was attracted to has a problem and will not recognize it as such. We went out on what i thought would be a date but we sat at the bar at the restauraunt we went to.He didn't order any food just (maybe 10-15) vodka/tonics and about 4 shots of patron, the bar tab was over $100. In between his drinks he kept getting up to go outside and smoke. After this he then asked me to take him to a gas station for more cigarettes but he came out with a 4 loko and he drunk this on top of what he had just had at the bar. After he drunk this i got really scared he went to sleep, but an hour later woke up and was sleepwalking and he urinated on my carpet. I think the 4 loko along with everything else mad him black out.  He went back to sleep and was snoring terribly and his heart was pounding!!! This whole thing was scary for me. This sounds like more than a social drinker and i think he may be an alcoholic and possibly abuses other substànces that i don't know of. Are these the signs of substance abuse? I had feelings for this guy but he didnt believe me when i told him the he peed on my floor and he blocked my number and won't talk to me anymore. Is he in denial or just that embarrased? Or maybe he did me a favor as to me it seems alcohol and cigarretes are addictions for him.

I agree, i really should be thankful he took himself out of my life. A close friend told me that his behavior on this date was not something he had done for the first time and that that was most likely his normal drinking pattern... And i didn't think about it like that but she"s right.

If he drinks more than 2-3 drinks on any date, beware. He's not there for you , he's there for the booze :(

You might have a co-dependent complex that could possibly get you in trouble, if you're drawn to needy people.  Beware, Beware of Red Flags . Addicts are looking for enablers. You have to decide what you will and will not enable. You're not doing anyone any favors to enable them. (Just in case it was almost sort of okay what he drank in the bar, and you almost kind of drew he line when he pissed on your carpet) RUN from persons that are needy. You're free to find a person who is not sick. Please Do It. Raise your bar, and be careful who you let in, for a life time. The right partner is out there for you, If he shows up and doesn't need alcohol to go on a date, grab him up.

I agree in that he 'd probably make my life hell. I can't believe i was actually hurt he stopped talking to me after his black out episode but i guess i should be happy and thankful. I wonder if he 'll pee on someone else's floor !?

That would make sense, but like i said he does not think he has a problem. So awful! He even told me once that he didn't have an addictive personality but he told me this with a cigarette in his hand!!! Go figure... He's also gotten a dui before.
