Is it possible to develop food allergies with age?

I'm a 28 year old male and I've recently been having digestive issues when I eat food with blue dye #1. I have acid reflux and take a prescription for the symptoms, but when I eat food with blue dye i experience heart burn regardless. I also get bad stomach aces and green bowl movements. Is it possible that as I'm getting older I am developing an alllergy or intolerance to blue dye or maybe something else?
