Thank you guys for your information, it is really helpful and I am begin to get more information about asthma. She has already made a contact with her GP and she was prescribed inhalers that can give relief when she felt it . The best thing is to learn how you can avoid and deal with it, since it can't be cured for good. The other thing is to know the triggers that could instigate the illness.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Check to rule out Asthma. Cough, chest tightness and breathlessness the three symptoms are the triad of symptoms for Asthma. It is a disease affecting the lungs causing narrowing of the airways, usually due to an allergic reaction to triggering factors. Therapy is with bronchodilators which cause the airways to dilate. Have her evaluated for the same. This can be detected by a spirometry test. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. In the meantime ask her to take warm oral fluids and do steam inhalations prior to her meals. This helps to loosen up and bring out the secretions.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

it sounds as though she has a slight sinus infection that could be affecting her breathing process. i used to have this problem quite frequently, as i have asthma, and found that i was often not receiving the proper amount of oxygen because of this. i recommend that she talk to her doctor about receiving a breathing treatment that would normally be given to asthma patients and consult the doctor about the prescription drug Prednisone(this was prescribed to me to help open up my airways and control my asthma). the coughing should subside as her body recovers and is able to take deeper breaths.
