Allergic reaction and ACL graft

I have a lot of allergies. 4 months ago I had an ACL repair with dissolable screws and donor tendon - surgery went great. 3 weeks ago I had sinus surgery and reacted to the adhesive on thermometer stuck on forehead and morphine. Within 48 hours had hives and breathing problems, stopped antibiotic but reaction continued. Allergist said it was Prednisone taper (40 mg in 4 days) the fifth day I ballooned esp face and knee.  Now I am allergic to tapes and this week had a first time immediate systemic allergic reaction to my maintenance dose allergy shots. Something has my body hyper reactive ....could it be the stuff in my knee just keeping it irritated?  Ortho said no.  Grasping for straws....

Hello and hope you are doing well.

If its a reaction to surgery, then four months after surgery you were symptoms free, so it is unlikely. We can develop allergies to different things throughout our lifetimes as the allergy develops in response to a repeated stimulus.  If you haven't undergone formal allergy testing, that might be beneficial.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
