Allergy or infective disease?

Hello.
Around a week ago, I started feeling itchy all over the body.
In a day, I started developing bumps similar to hives ones.
Since then I felt very itchy (especially at night) with bumps all over my body: arms (external, elbow), wrist, hands (both palms and back) chin, throat, sides, pubes, ankles, foot (only top).
The bumps are white or red (especially if I scratch), itchy, and don't carry any liquid (they are not blisters. Look and feel like mosquito bites)
Taking an antistaminic helps a lot, but just for a few hours.

I booked promptly an allergologic visit, but there won't be space before next week (and in those days I can't even take antistaminics)

Other recent symptoms are sore throat (no cough) that is "moving" to chest as well.
No breathing difficulties.

Those recent symptoms make me fear it could be an infective disease instead of an allergy. Prior to this discussion, I opened another one in STDs forum since I am sexually active (I tested myself for HIV and I am negative).

What do you think? Any suggestion?

(small addendum: the soar throat is the "painful to swallow" type)
