Lip Swelling

Hello,
For the past 3 weeks, i have had 6 cases of acute swelling of the lips, not the entire lip, just certain areas each time.  sx last 24 to 46 hours.  Also there is numbness.  Benedryl helps some.  I have no known allergies.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, symptoms are suggestive of mild form of urticaria, secondary to exposure to allergen and mediated by IgE antibodies. Your body is known to hypersensitive to certain things.
Foods and additives like Milk, egg, peanuts, nuts, soy, and wheat are the most common agents to cause generalized urticaria in adults. This triggering factor should be identified and should be avoided. A skin allergy test can be useful.

Treatment includes anti histaminic and glucocorticoids against prescription. I suggest you to consult a skin specialist. Take care and regards.
