Test for Titanium

Who in the Northern Virginia area does test titanium implants?

I have severe metal allergies.  Several dentist tell me there should be no problem.  However, with my allergies, before I spend $20,000 and end up allergic to the implants, it makes better sense to be tested.

HELP!

Hello!

MELISA tests is unreliable!

I wanted to warn all - I was taking MELISA test first in Centro Diagnostico Calderon, in Spain.
Tests showed allergy to titanium dioxide.

I thought that I will double check before I replace all my implants.

I went to InvitaLab in Germany.
They did not find any allergies at all.

Now I was confused and decided to to sort it out for good.

So I sent my blood this by TNT to MGD Laboratory.
They surprsed me again: They found me allergic only  to inorganic mercury.

When I asked for explanations from MELISA, they sayd:

' We understand your situation is stressful and frustrating. It is unusual for customers to travel to labs to have blood taken (we recommend sending samples), and even more unusual to do testing at different labs. '

I'd say: don't trust MELISA tests, it is a medical quackery.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, as we do not maintain a directory of doctors in this forum we may not be able to help you. Ask for the MELISA test, which is the only scientifically-proven test which can objectively diagnose titanium allergy and measure its severity.  MELISA test measures a so-called Type-IV delayed hypersensitivity reaction. And according to studies done, the MELISA Test is reproducible, sensitive, specific, and reliable for detecting metal sensitivity in metal-sensitive patients. So, consult your doctor and have the test done. Regards.
