Magnetic therapy after C1 C2 fusion? Is it safe?

I had a C1 C2 fusion in 1997... have been told I can not have an MRI because of metal in my neck.  I now want to use magnets to help alleviate shoulder impingement and muscle tension in upper back.  ( I have experienced tremendous relieve from carpel tunnel pain by wearing magnetic bracelet).  I am nervous about wearing a magnet on my shoulder - or on upper back - due to metal in my neck.  Any suggestions?

Hey Kathy.
Welcome to the forum
Have you ever tried  a Q-Ray bracelet?
They're Ionized-no magnets- and carry a 30 day money back guarantee.
It takes 1-2 weeks, usually, to find out if it works.

Also have you ever tried DMSO ? 30-70% strength, transdermally,  and no side effects
other than the odor emitted through the body. Test by rubbing just a few drops
on your skin first. Check it out!

Take care,
Nikodicreta

I suggest asking your MD But my guess if it's not an electro magnet that's controlled by voltage it won't be a problem. An MRI can be adjusted for different parts. I'm assuming you want to use the ones similar to the ones worn in shoes or as you said a bracelet.
It shouldn't be a problem. Do you know what type of metal is in your neck? I ask because I have a pin in my hip from around 1954 and and a plate in my head and both knees replaced but the plate and knees are Titanium so that's not a problem I have MRI'S.
