Energy channels

Hi there! Does anyone know whether if the energy channels (Hand Yin Yang and Foot Yin Yang) have something to do with the acu-points? I mean, if an acu-point is located on an energy channel, will it help to unblock the channel when the channel is not functioning well?

You can buy a book, but it's hard to really grasp without a teacher.  Qi Gong are basically warm up exercises in Chinese martial arts, so you don't necessarily have to find a Taoist practitioner.  A Tai Chi teacher might also be able to teach you.

By the way, may I ask, if I want to practise Qi Gong, is it a must for me to get a teacher?

I practice qi gong before.  I am not a qi gong master or anything.  

But the channel idea is like this
channels through your body and you have sickness when the channels are blocked
so to press on the acupoints is to help to unblock the channels, that in turn heal your sickness.

I think what you're referring to are the acupuncture meridians where chi (China) or prana (India) can be accessed according to theories of energetics in Chinese medicine and ayurvedic medicine.  Now, channel would appear to refer to the entire channel, whereas meridians are where the channels can be accessed.  The best way to learn about this in detail is to buy a book on acupuncture.
