Alzheimer's Home Care?

Would it be helpful to families who advocate for home care to have extra support in planning care to have a professional planner and Alzheimer's coach available to them 24 hours a day for any questions and support in caring for their loved one?

hi.  the nursing home is great for some people that have to work. I  loved taking care of my mom. I cant sy it was easy but I knew she was well taken care.  I lost the rest of my family.  they did not want to come stay long enough for me to get groceries. we made t some days were bad and some days ere good.  one nigh after a hard day.  I was going to my bedroom.  se was standing in her room and asked me are you going to send me way.  I took her by the hand and  we sat own on her bed.  I told her I would never send her way I loved her so much.  she said they should be helping.  I told her we were fine we had each other.  my mom and I were like best friends. she lost daddy then 2 years later I lost my husband we knew how hard it was to lose the love of your life.  mandy876

It's a good thing to consider because there will be someone who will look after for your loved ones 24 hours a day who are having this kind of disease. In fact, some families consider a nursing home for their aging loved ones who mostly facing Alzheimer also. They believe that any nursing home can accommodate and will take care of their loved ones, as well as to protect them and make them feel valued and loved.

I used hospice when the hospital said they could do no more.  and I received a lot of books and studied up on it for taking care of my mom.  we went through a hard patch.  and her doctor was not available at the hospital.  he changed her meds and put her on buspar.  not sure of the spelling.  she quit  being violent .  I asked the doctor to be her doctor but he said he already  had too many patients.  good luck I am sure thereis some one to stay daily.  some nursing homes  they have day care.  mandh876
