I am new to this forum but would like some help. For the past few weeks, I've been having off and on twitching of my muscles, particularly legs but sometimes eye, or other muscle group. Sometimes, my legs feel like this all day somewhat twitchy and restless, sometimes they will keep me up at night doing this. Sometimes, I will have a burning sensation in certain areas of my muscles such as my calves and upper and lower arm (usually right one). Whether related or not, sometimes I sense/feel heart palpitations on a day that I am twitching alot. The twitching is starting to get worse and more frequent. Then last week, out of the blue, my muscles in my right arm and legs (particularly calves) felt very weak. Like nothing I had ever experienced. I've had mono once and was never this fatigued. The fatigue is more like fatigue coupled with weakness like I need to go sit down because I can't stand on my feet anymore. For a couple of days after that I felt somewhat better but then started to feel worse. I'm not sure what is going on. Last night I had a dizzy spell but it finally went away. Today, I had another one and still feel somewhat lightheaded. Also, when I drank some cold water last night and today, the muscle twitching with shivers got really bad and it took the longest for it to go away. What do you suggest I do? I just went to the doctor yesterday, and he said he would run some tests, like blood, electrolytes, magnesium, vitamin D, thyroid, and I'm not sure what else. I've never felt like this in my life. The doctor said it would be 7-10 days on those tests, and if they looked ok, he would refer me to a neurologist to have a muscle test. Could this be MS or ALS or other? I'm trying to stay calm, but today has been the worst day. A couple of weeks back, the Co-op sprayed our fields with fertilizer and a little weed killer. Could this be related to exposure to that? I'm not to concerned about that being it because my dogs were out playing in the fields right after they sprayed and they seem fine. I did go outside when they were spraying nearest to my house (the wind was strong that day) and then gave my dogs a bath later in the day. I don't know. Also, the doctor asked me if I had any recent tick bites or rashes. I had a tick bite last summer and it turned out ok, I thought. I am a 36 year old white female. Any response would be appreciated. Thank you!
