Question about EMG of upper extremities

Hi all,
I have a question about my recent EMG. I recently had an EMG of only upper extremities (hands, forearms, arms, and shoulders) which came back clean. I have some symptoms in my lower extremities, as well (e.g., twitching and cramping). The question is whether my EMG of only upper extremities is sufficient in ruling out ALS.
p.s. I have had symptoms for almost 3 months.
