Did I kill my wife?

I was a virgin when I got married, my wife was not. After 10 year together, I cheated on my wife in October of 2016.  She was diagnosed with stage IIIb anal cancer in November of 2018.  Now she is scared she is scared, going through chemo and asking for a divorce because she says I killed her.  Did I kill my wife?  I have read material online that says it typically takes over 10 years to go from a HPV infection to anal cancer. Is this true?  I hope it is true. I want to show my wife that I did not give her this sickness, so she will let me help her.  She doesn’t have much family or friends, and I fear she will have to through this alone if I am not there.
