Cat's Strange Behavior

I have an approximately 6-year old cat. She had kittens on April 18th. The kittens are healthy, eating, etc., but the mother cat is acting strange. She meows almost constantly and it's a very high pitched meow. Even when she goes outside for a few minutes, I can hear her meowing.while I'm inside the house. She's never been extremely affectionate but suddenly she's rubbing up against my leg quite a bit. She's seems to be eating/drinking okay.

Mistywindsor is correct.  She is in heat again.  She has become hormonally stimulated due to the first pregnancy.  It is a bit early for her to go into heat again so soon after giving birth but it can happen.  Time to get her spayed!
