My Pomeranian is acting sick, can you tell me whats wrong?

My pomeranian is not acting the same since we moved. My parents and I moved from McDonough (metopolitan area) to Jackson(country like city were ticks and fleas are common). She's usally hyper and loves to play around and run away from our new puppy (chihuahua). She hasnt been eating and barely drinks water. We dont have the money to take her to the vet. If theres anything you can think of that could be wronge with her if you could email your response to my mom that would make her feel better. Shes scared to death because she finally got a dog she's wanted for a while and now this is happening to her. Please and Thank You.

A blood test for tick borne disease, and an analysis of your dog's stool are not very expensive, anywhere.

Just to have these two things checked is a lot less expensive than the alternative, which would be allow your dog to die of a disease that could have been treated had you given the medication in time.

I am sorry that I cannot offer you more help but it is important to find out what is wrong, and this sounds like more than your dog being sad because you moved.

Are there any humane societies, such as the SPCA (society for the prevention of cruelty to animals) that offer discounted veterinary care?  Most areas do have them, even in Hong Kong, for example.  I don't know where you live but if you list your location I would be happy to search for you.

Your mother's email address did not come through on your posting.
