Vomiting frothy bile on empty stomach

My Golden retriever has had a few episodes recently where in the middle of the night, first thing in the morning or late afternoon (so all when her stomach is empty), has vomited a frothy bile substance.  She is eating normally, her stool is normal, normal water intake, energy is fine.

The only thing that I can think of that might be causing this:  bully sticks.  But, I have been giving her bully sticks for months, so I don't know why all of a sudden she would not be able to tolerate them.

Any ideas?

Chrisy

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
There are many causes for problems such as this, but something new out of the ordinary should be checked by a veterinarian.  Bloodwork including a canine pancreatic lipase test would be highly beneficial.  Even normal bloodwork lets you and your veterinarian know what normals tend to be for your young golden.
Sometimes it's as simple as increased stomach acids and one can even use over the counter meds to help.  Please see your veterinarian first, as many over the counter meds may be toxic or cause problems if it's actually caused from other issues.
