Anxiety and daily stomach pain?

I am wondering if anxiety can create daily stomach pain for 6 weeks straight. I have found out that I've been dealing with depression and didn't know the issues I was having was part of of depression as far as loss of interest, fatigue, neck pain, lower back pain and sadness. The stomach pain is completely new to me and It's scary! The pain is right under the breast on the left and move to the right side on and off through out the day. Doctor gave me Zantac for heartburn which is something I've never had but was told that maybe stress can cause an increase in stomach acid. I had my heart checked and will be seeing a GI doc soon.

I do not drink sodas, cut back on the coffee smoke, drink or eat a lot of junk food. My biggest part has been worrying because my financial situation but now I see what I have done to myself and I am tying my best to find whatever I can to correct it.

Depression and anxiety can cause all sorts of physical symptoms in my experience with it.  I often get an upset stomach, headaches, and various aches and pains when I am under a lot of stress or depressed.  Depression can be physically exhausting.  Do you have access to counseling?  You have visited your doctor, which is a good thing, however why not see someone that can help you with the depression and anxiety?  For me, learning how to confront it, ultimately gave me relief from both the mental and physical symptoms of it.
