Bad sufferer

This question gets answered for me all the time.. But I have to keep reassuring my self!

Lately ive been suffering from bad derealisation and scary neck sensations. Due to my anxiety [ I HOPE! ]
But I just want to know if, horrible sensations and what seems to be the start of a panic attack can just come on within a split second!? :S

and also how bad anxiety can make you feel like everything is a blur?
Ive suffered since I was 6 years old with panic attacks on and off.
I'll have a good few months.. even a few years without anxiety and then it springs on.
Like lately.. Im so afraid I have something bad.. so afraid. I said to myself I would never let this get to me but now it has gotten me to the point where I want to cry so bad.

I hate this.

To answer your questions, again, terrible sensations and panic CAN come on within seconds. They can happen between one heartbeat and the next. And yes, they can and do, make the world seem like a huge, horrible blur.

I don't know how old you are, but if you have suffered with anxiety and panic since you were 6 years old, don't you think the time has come to say "ENOUGH!"

It's not easy taking those first few steps towards recovery, but you've actually already taken them by writing to us. Owning your anxiety is step one and you've done that. Reaching out to others is step two, but you have to reach out to those who can really help you fix it rather than just comfort and support you. Which is not a bad thing, don't get me wrong, but you can't just keep putting new tread on an old tire forever. Someday you gotta pay the price and buy a new one. I think your time has come.
I think you need to see your doctor for a really good exam to rule out any underlying cause for your neck problems and then have a very open and honest discussion with him/her about these other issues. A journey of a thousand miles....................
Good luck and please keep us posted.
Peace

Thanks for the reply :)
Ive had therapy in the past, and it helped.
I start therapy again next friday which I cant wait for.
Im afraid of having checks and scans as I am honestly, Petrified of what they might find.
Its stupid I know, But thats my biggest fear.

I just want to be able to get in bed and fall asleep with out all this hassel.
I want to wake up of a morning without all this hassel.
I want to go through my day.... Without all this hassel... :/
I just want to be me again..................................................................

Reassurence is good, It's OK.  I have to ask though, Did you ever go through any kind of therapy to try to get to the bottom of this?   As far as crying, let it out, you will find how much better it makes one feel..  And if your not sure about these sensations, then go to your dr. and get it checked out. Dont sit there and dwell on it, get an answer and settle it once and for all.

Good Luck
