My anxiety alone makes me feel kind of lightheaded, thats probably whats doing it to you. I notice that when my anxiousness goes away for a while my head stops feeling funny.

Coming from a fellow person that has had, and to some extent still has, health anxiety I definately know how you feel.  First of all, you did the right thing by going to your doctor.  The next thing you have to do is trust him/her.  All too often, we tend to oversensitize our normal bodily feelings and tend to catastrophicsize every little 'symptom.'  Chest pains become something wrong with our heart, headaches are tumors, ringing in the ears is do to blood pressure, etc.  Anxiety and panic does take a toll on the body both physically and mentally; that is why it can be such a vicious cycle.  Here we feel worse, and they are telling us we are okay...doesn't make much sense in the panic stricken mind.

How did you interpret a headache before all of this?  I bet you really did not think much of it.  When I had my first panic attack three years ago, it absolutely floored me and I had test after test after test and still I did not believe anyone.  I felt dizzy, had headaches, chest pain; you name it I had it.  I progressively felt worse month after month until I finally decided to listen to the doctors and my therapist.  Now, of course this was not easy, but once you accept the fact that you probably have more of a chance of tripping while walking and causing serious injury compared to the probability of having a brain tumor; seeing how you have already been checked out.  The next step is to CONFRONT this anxiety in my opinion.  Have you talked this over with anyone?  You would be amazed how much progress you can make through talk therapy.  Through this you will gain knowledge and knowledge is power to break this cycle.  Keep on using this forum and continue to express your concerns and ask as many questions as you like!

You do not have a brain tumor....that is a very common concern among anxiety sufferers.  Remember, in an anxious state, we are UBER aware of every little sensation, and we blow out of proportion every little symptom...turning it into a positively fatal disease or condition.

If you can...try to stop focusing on how you feel physically, and I know that isnt always easy.  If you are frequently taking your pulse, stop taking it all together...you have medical work-ups and have been reassured that you are fine medically.

Try instead, to busy yourself, take a walk, smell the roses, to to speak.  And dive in head first in your anxiety treatment/wellness.  Educate yourself, read books on the subject, read posts here....continue to post here for support.  Are you seeing a therapist?  I know you JUST started the meds for anxiety, correct?  You need to be patient with yourself and allow them to work...I know it is frustrating...we want to feel better overnight.

Hang in there, it WILL get better for you.

If your taking an SSRI, after 4 days on one i got bad pain in my head coupled with a little dizziness, now it hurts all the time but itsmore like a headache towrds the front now.  give it a little time and see if it stops, it may be from the meds.  if it gets worse caall your doc.  im sure your fine.

i highly doubt its a tumor
