Bruised Rib or something else?

I am a 16 year old female, 5'4 120 pounds. I do Crossfit twice a week and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu twice a week sometimes three times. So I'm very active. About two weeks ago, I started having trouble breathing, and pain in the side of my chest, slightly below the nipple line and in the exact same spot on my back. I figured it would go away after a few days but it's only gotten worse and now the pain is incredibly painful and I can only breathe shallowly if I want to be comfortable. There's no noticeable bruising in the pain area so I wasn't sure if it was a bruised rib from rolling in BJJ, or maybe am overextended muscle from lifting weights or something of that nature.

I injured a rib in high school.  30 some years later and it jumps up and bites me, just as the doctor said it would.

If the rib is bruised or cracked it will heal by itself, but pain can continue for a long time. When I broke a rib it took almost a year to be completely free from pain.

The only way to find out is to see someone who can answer the question -- the appropriate specialist.  Even a chiropractor or osteopath can probably answer it.  But as someone who practiced ju jitsu as well as kung fu, I've had rib issues, and it certainly sounds like one.
