Choking on food MS or anxiety?

Lately for the last couple of weeks every time I eat something it goes down the wrong way and I start choking. This happens occasionally with drinking as well. I also have been urinating a lot more frequently in the past weeks as well. I have read that both these things are symptoms of MS and I am worried.
I have been worried about MS for a while now and have had other symptoms such as weird prickling pains in hands and legs which I got checked out at the doctors and were put down as a side effect of a medication I was taking at the time. I stopped worrying about MS for a while but my fear has come back in full force and I'm 100% convinced I have it, but I'm unsure wether to go to the doctor or not again as it is expensive if they are only going to tell me its anxiety? Help what do you think ?

MS rarely presents with dysphagia and urinary problems, eye issues like blurry vision and general fatigue are more common. I suggest a cranial MRI to rule out MS (I don't know how does that work in Australia. Where I live, you can schedule an MRI for an equivalent of 120-150 AUD and pay another 100 or so to the neuro for interpreting the findings. She will prescribe something for anxiety if the MRI is clean)

He self diagnosed MS and his doctor said it isn't so the right step is not to keep pursuing his MS self-diagnosis idea, which is just a shot in the dark.

Best to do what paxiled or specialm says. But first make sure the symptoms aren't in his head then see the doctor.
I don't believe she has MS either, I suggested an MRI for her reassurance. However, as I said, I'm not familiar with the costs and protocol associated with an MRI where she lives.

There is an MS community you can post in about this too, go to the tool bar above and it is under communities.

There is something called gag memory which is anxiety based.  IF you've choked, when you eat food similar to what you've choked on, your brain says "no" and you may gag.  My son has this and we've worked through it slowly.  There is a book called Food chaining which we used as a base for getting past it.

good luck

If you are an anxiety sufferer, people with anxiety often don't relax even when eating and drinking, so they often drink down more than they can swallow comfortably or don't properly chew their food.  This is probably what's ailing you.  MS isn't that common, and Googling symptoms will only cause you pain.  But the only one who can diagnose you for certain is a doctor, and if you don't show any symptoms of what you're complaining about, you're probably going to get diagnosed with anxiety.  Ever tried therapy and learning relaxation techniques?
