Cold knees while sitting during day time

Hi,

I'm 32 and having cold knees which comes and goes. I dont know whether it's an anxiety issue or something else. I dont' know if this helps but I had neck stiffness since 3 days, but no raised lymph nodes around neck area. I've had some problems at work and don't know whether the tension is getting the better of me. The lower thighs and knees go cold and it sometimes passes to the feet as well. This happens on both legs equally. Has anyone been facing such issue. Any support would help.

If you walk a lot for exercise, or run, or do hills at the gym machines, the hip problem can be bursitis.  So can the shoulder problem.  It starts out coming and going but eventually becomes chronic.  It's left me pretty much an invalid.  But this doesn't mean you have it, I was a heavy exerciser and I don't know if you are, and I'm also old.  Again, we can't diagnose you.  The following professionals might be able to (and might not):  your regular doc, an orthopedic surgeon, a physiatrist (pain doc), and possibly a really good chiropractor or osteopath or physical therapist, who can tell a lot by moving your body parts around and seeing what causes pain.

Thanks for your response. I have been recently developing some pain in my hips while walking. ALso, i had some pain on my shoulder blades for a day or 2 which then subsided later. It just used to come and go. And also, sometimes i've got pain on the back of my left knee. Can someone help me with this please. I'm really worried as to what's happening.

Millions of people have a sore neck and it can be from lack of exercise or mobilization so the muscles are tight, overuse, injury poor posture etc. Likely there is no connection to your knees, and both might be in your imagination since you are over-examining your body checking your problems.
s/b ......body checking for problems
Yes, blood sugar is something that might be a problem.  Could also be something missing in your diet, such as magnesium, and if you have LDL problems and blood sugar problems that means you have a diet problem.  But also could just be nothing at all.  We really can't diagnose you and you really can't diagnose yourself.  As I said, posture alone can cause what you're feeling.  Could it be anxiety causing it?  I don't know about causing it, but as noted above, it might be making you notice something you might have ignored otherwise.

Yes, it happened to me too, and I feel it could because of stress and weakness.

Is there any numbness?  We can't tell how severe this is or whether this is all in your head.  Neck tension is one the most common side effects of being anxious.  But it can also be something physiological, and so seeing a doctor will tell you more than we can about this.  The knee part sounds a bit of an odd part of the body to get cold but if it's been going on for awhile and it's not normal for you to be cold, again, go see your doc.  As for neck stiffness, it has nothing to do with lymph nodes, not sure why you're checking that.  Are you an anxious person or do you just have these physical symptoms?

And although I encourage you to see your doc, it could very likely be the way you're sitting is cutting off circulation and making your neck stiff.
