I really encourage you, hajjj to stay on the path of seeing a psychiatrist.  As you've had thoughts of killing yourself, this is serious and your life can depend on it.  Please know it will get better.  It doesn't matter what kind of psychiatrist at this point.  You can see your primary care doctor for referral but be honest about the suicidal ideation.  I do agree that if the thoughts of suicide become significant, an emergency room is the way to go and don't be afraid of this.  This is how you get help!  Let us know how things are going!

This is what anxious people tend to do, which is obsess over things.  You get an idea in your head and just can't let it go the way you used to.  If you're in fact feeling suicidal, you need to go get help ASAP.  But as for the obsessive thinking, this is what depression and anxiety are, obsessing over things and getting incredibly frightened about it.  Have you ever considered seeing a therapist to see if you can change this way of thinking?

I have never been to a therapist but i am going to see a psychiatrist soon. No i actually dont feel suicidal but this feeling makes me confused. I dont know how to explaim it. It makes me very depressed and sad i dont know what to do about it!!
Just so you know, a psychiatrist will medicate you.  A psychologist will try to solve the problem through therapy.  It's up to you which one to try, but if you're not suicidal and you're just having some obsessive thinking, you might want to start out trying to fix it rather than medicate it.  Again, up to you.
If you are having trouble getting suicide out of your head, a psychiatrist is a must.  Let us know how you are doing.
This is where Mom and I always disagree, and I truly don't know who is right.  I believe most people should see a psychologist who specializes in anxiety treatment before seeing a psychiatrist because medication can be a big problem and it can actually cause suicidal thinking in people who don't have it, especially younger people.  I also believe that if suicide isn't just something someone thinks about but is something someone thinks about doing, they need to go to an emergency room ASAP, in which case they will see a psychiatrist a lot quicker than finding one and making an appointment with one.  In this case it appears that the poster is just thinking this stuff but has no desire to think it or do it.  But again, I can't say one of us is right and the other wrong, just that we look at it differently.
