Healthcare for the housebound

Hi, I recently learned that in England under there health care system the housebound recieve medical care in their own homes, but if you are, have been or know someone in this country who's housebound. Then you know there is no help for the people who are. So this isn't a question as much as a plea for those who read it to take up this cause with me. Now let me say the system there isn't perfect sometimes the waiting list is 6-8 weeks except " I think in cases of emergency I'll have to ask my friend who lives there about that again" but atleast  they have a system. We have nothing.  If you can't get into a car and go however many miles to a Dr. then you suffer. People could get better alot sooner if it were different...some people want recover at all if it dosen't change. It's been almost 15 years but I missed 9 years of my life because I had the misfortune of becoming house bound in the wrong country.
Yesturday I called my Congressmans office and sent emails to the Governor of N.C and President Obama. Letting them know about the healthcare system In England...We here alot about healthcare reform but a whole segment of the population is totally disreguarded.Yet these people can vote. So I ask you all to join with me in this fight. Call your Congressman send emails to the Governor of your state and the President. Please be sure to tell President Obama that you are there in reguards to the email sent by DeAnna Brown in N.C. on Healthcare for the housebound. I did promise him I would rally support for this cause.Mentioning me is of no importance just as long as you do it. I would like a note on my page to know what people think about this and weather your joining me in this cause or not.
                                                                                                                               Thanl You

To everyone that lives in America, yes this is true, in England we have a system up and running that allows for house bound people to be treated at home.  Mental health workers will visit and or, depending on the situation, phone.  We also don't have to travel each month etc to refill our prescritions, we can make telephone refills and the chemist will even drop the tablets off to your home... however the doctor's aim is to get the person out of their home so they do strongly encourage but do not demand this, they allow you to go at your own pace.  To get therapy, like CBT, you do however need to visit the clinic but for the majority of us we don't have to travel that far to reach a clinic, as mental health is taken very seriously here and they are everywhere.  Normally 2/3 clinics and a hospital per bourough...maybe more.

So, please support Angeleyes in her campaign, maybe start a pertition in your area and e-mail the right people and if pressure is added then maybe something might be done for you all.... God Bless!! and GOOD-LUCK
