I don't believe in meds, either. I want you to think about what I'm going to say, and really, really let it rattle around in your head, because I have been where you are. First, is is possible to beat this and reclaim your life. You absolutely can. Second, anxiety originates in your brain. If your brain can do this to you, your brain can also bring you back out. I'm not trying to diminish your experience, I'm hoping to empower you. That second part was sort of an epiphany for me.
There is an excellent book called Get Out Of Your Mind And Into Your Life. I highly recommend it. Learning breathing techniques for relaxation can be a huge benefit as well. Good luck to you.
please help me, my mum has bin suffering with anxiety now for 4 years and is just getting worse, she numb can hardly stand up her hair is falling out n feels like her bodys being crushed, please help
First off I would like to say that I am sorry that you have joined the living hell of anxiety... but know that you are not alone. I have been dealing with anxiety for almost 2 years now and it's still a work in progress. I am alot like you when it comes to medication. However, there are medications out there that are a godsend when it comes to dealing with anxiety. Along with that I think the second most important thing to do is get a therapist and they will help you work through your anxiety. Anxiety is not easy to deal with by any means but there are things out there that you have to be open to trying if you really want to get better. We are all here anytime to listen so don't ever be afraid to ask for help when necessay or if you just need someone to listen. Take care and keep us updated!
