Anytime you switch meds like this, there's a good chance it can have an effect on you. For you it increased anxiety; for other people, it may cause more depressive thoughts. Unfortunately it may take a couple weeks until things kind of "regulate". I know it's not a lot of fun in the meantime, but there's not really a whole lot that can be done about it; the medicines need their time to start working with your system. Hope things start improving for you!
Hi,
I was on Prozac shortly and after my doc increased the dosage things got bad ... not right away it had been building up in my system and after a week I had a VERY severe panic attack (I had not never had one before). I felt literally like I was gonna die and ended up at ER. I knew the symptoms of panic attacks because I had studied psychology but it's different to read/study about something and then actually live through it. I had to stop Prozac right away. I would say FOR SURE talk to your doc, there are a lot of other options out there along with a therapy (which I think has great benefits). Good luck
Thank you I have woke up this morning not so much panic but a felling that someone has beat me in my sleep! I feel terribly bruised! This is the first day without prozac. Will have to see how it goes..... Im hoping to get some therapy that does not involve medication so that I can cope without it Hope you also find something to help and good luck! :)
I have reacted the same way to all of the meds that I have tried. They make me feel like I am having constant panic attacks too! I know they say the meds can increase your anxiety when first starting them, but for me it was unbearable and I just can't get brave enough to try it again. I hope you feel better soon!
