I would have to agree that anxiety can 'ebb and flow.' Some days it is high, while others it can seem almost nonexistent, which can make it that much more frustrateing when it returns, in my experience. Don't beat yourself up because you feel like you have taken a step back from time to time; it happens to all of us. I am a big proponent of medication as long as it is combined with talk therapy, but some choose not to use meds (which is fine as well...it is a personal choice). Keep us posted!
The Linden Method has been discussed in other posts. You might want to check the archives for information. I've never heard of it, but am guessing it is heavily marketed to be discussed here off and on.
Best for anxiety is therapy (if you can afford ), and a medication as base to get you functioning again. There is no one method or pill to cure you. You aren't alone in searching for answers. We all have been there.
Most of us take a medication. But all of us know that is just the beginning. Journals are fine: but can get tedious to keep up. I write stuff down when I'm overwhelmed or down.
Acceptance of your condition is the beginning of getting better. We all have strategies for distracting ourselves from anxiety and baby-stepping forward.
Good luck
I know exactly what you are going through. My anxiety comes in phases. I have heard about the Linden Method but I have not tried it. I would recommend talking to a therapist. They are trained to help teach you different ways of coping wiht anxiety. Have you tried taking meds? I was so against taking them but they do help. You could try keeping a journal this might help you in trying to figure out what your triggers are. Remember that you are not alone. If you decide to try the Linden Method let me know how it works for you. Feel better.....
