Zoloft causing intense shaking?

My doctor prescribed me Zoloft as my mother had a positive result with it. I was started on 25 mg once daily. However, I've found that every time I dose I get a tremor across my entire body. Should I be concerned?

Is it just once and then you're fine?  Or is it repeated over and over?  There are two kinds of side effects from these meds, start up which go away with time and those that stick around.  Your experience won't be the same as your mother's.  You're at a very low dose, so you're just getting started on it to ease you into it.  But if it does cause a lot of discomfort, there are other meds out there to try, assuming your problem is significant enough to require medication in the first place.

I've been diagnosed with GAD, Panic Disorder, MDD and a diagnosis for PTSD being considered. I just find it hard to take it because the tremor is so intense, and it takes 3-4 hours for it to go away.
Time to mention this to your psychiatrist.  It just might not be the right med for you.  If you stick with it, it might go away, but that's a long time to be shaking.
