Is This Severe Anxiety?

I sometimes have these moments where I will suddenly get a rush of adrenaline. After it sets in, I start to cry. Then I began to feel as if I can't move or I am stuck in one place. My crying gets worse and I start shaking followed by rapid breathing. The more it sets in the worse my shaking gets. I start to almost in the sense, hyperventilate. I sometimes scream if it gets worse, or feel the need to. Sometimes it may just be a high pitched crying noise. I may even get a slight stutter, almost like when you're cold and your teeth chatter, but it's when someone speaks to me. I've had these occur 3 times in my life. I just had my third one and I'm very concerned. I don't know if it's bad anxiety or something else. If you have any information, please tell me what you think it could be.

You don't say if you suffer anxious thoughts when this happens or if happens under conditions you are stressing out over.  Anxious people think anxious thoughts, they don't just get physiological symptoms.  That being said, the first place you should go is to see your doctor and get a thorough work-up to see if there's something going on, such as thyroid problems or blood sugar problems or nutrient deficiencies -- lots of things cause physiological symptoms that might also be associated with anxiety.

I have been tested and I do have a thyroid disease. Hashimotos disease to be exact. I'm not sure if it's related, but when I get this way- it's almost like a trigger. I've actually had 4 of these panic attacks or whatever they are. I don't know what causes them, but they are rare and are really bad when it happens. I'm not sure if it could be related to a stroke or what, but it's really concerning.
I don't know either, which is why I suggest seeing a doctor.  And it could be your thyroid medication needs to be adjusted.
By the way, have you noticed this happens when you eat certain foods that might contain a lot of iodine?
I never noticed to be honest, but I'll be sure and tell my thyroid doctor. I have to go and see my doctor here in a week or so, but I never thought about iodine in foods.
