Is is axiety

I have been feeling really strange this week.  My muscles feel tense and it is hard to sit still.  When driving I feel tense, lightheaded and very agitated.  Is this anxiety and what can I do to control it?

I get symptoms like this constantly, and I have generalized anxiety disorder. Perhaps you're suffering similarly. I went through several months of therapy and am on medication. It only takes the edge off though. I still have symptoms if I don't practice the breathing exercises I learned in therapy and do a yoga relaxation video I bought on amazon for anxiety. Hope this helps you!

Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress. It helps one deal with a tense situation in the office, study harder for an exam, keep focused on an important speech. But in some cases, it becomes excessive and can cause sufferers to dread everyday situations. If the same symptoms are with you than might be possible that you are having anxiety, you can concern to your doctor for this and can prefer kava supplement they are the best to overcome this all.

It is the bane of existance for those of us with anxiety/panic that others cannot possibly understand what we live with and how terribly difficult it makes our lives. We can attempt to educate them, have them read books etc, and that may give them a small clue, but until THEY actually experience a panic attack............forget it. That is why there are places like this. Here you will always find understanding and comfort and support and for most of us, this is our "home away from home." We really are family here.
You are NOT losing the plot, Sweetie.
Welcome home!

Just following cj to agree that it sounds like you both have anxiety. The fears you have about driving are incredibly classic symptoms of anxiety, especially if you've had a previous anxiety attack while driving. Very much like the fear of flying, with one really huge exception. While driving, you CAN pull over and get out of your car. Can't do that when you're 35,000 feet in the air!
But this fear of driving can lead to avoidance behavior and that's not such a good thing. For many of us, we begin to avoid the places where we've had a panic/anxiety attack and pretty soon our world begins to shrink. "itsrubbish," as I just wrote in my  response to your post, this is what you're doing when you say YOU are begining to fear leaving your house. Your house is "safe."  Out "there" isn't so much anymore.
cj has told you that anxiety can create many, many physical symptoms and he told you that there are numerous ways to deal with it.
Find your paths and follow them to recovery.
Peace

i get these same symptoms when driving, especially on motorways-i dont do motorways anymore since i had panic attacks on them about 8 years ago. i get very dizzy and feel as tho im going to pass out and start sweating and my eyes go all weird, especially when its a long straight road where theres nowhere to stop if i had to,that makes it worse,so i avoid long journeys or straight single roads-its crazy, its ruining my life!

On and off for about a year.  It seems to go and mostly happens when I am driving.  It can quite intense and feels like I have to get out and walk around.  I pull over on the side of the road and it is better.  I now worry about it so much that I feel like I am causing future attacks.  I just want to get back to my normal self.
