Is this anxiety?

Hello.  I have been going through several health issues lately and I know that it is causing some depression.  About a month ago I started having problems sleeping and when I would wake up I would feel a dizzy-like feeling and I would have deep sighs over and over again, not gasps but sighs.  I'm not falling down or losing my balance.  The best way to describe it is that feeling you get just before you get dizzy but then I never get completely dizzy.  I have this feeling all day every day.  I have also had a weird dull headache that seems to start at the back of my neck and moves forward.  I also have a very dull earache.  I went to the emergency room for it and they did a CT and blood tests and told me they could not find anything and that it could be sleep apnea.  About a week later I went to urgent care and I was told it could be an inner ear infection and was put on antibiotics.  Last week I saw my primary care doctor and while I was there I started crying and told her that not knowing what was wrong with me was making me cry and get upset all the time and I didn't know what to do next.  She immediately told me I had anxiety and put me on Wellbutrin.

I understand that I am going through some things that can cause anxiety but I'm really not sure that these symptoms are anxiety, I really think there is something more going on besides anxiety but no one believes me.

Are these anxiety symptoms and I'm just making something out of nothing or should I be demanding more tests or something?

Thanks

You really need to see a better class of physician, for starters.  Wellbutrin is a stimulating antidepressant, not an anti-anxiety medication, and if you've never tried therapy going on these very strong brain-altering meds isn't a first step.  And giving an antibotic just on the suspicion you have an ear infection, given the problem we have now with antibiotic resistance, well, this is how we got there.  Most ear infections go away with no treatment at all, and here you've been put on one that kills off your beneficial flora that not only regulate the immune system and digestion but also mental health.  You need to find better doctors who will look hard for a physiological cause without just giving you a drug to get you out of the office, and you would probably benefit by seeing a therapist who specializes in anxiety treatment because it's becoming a chronic problem and you don't want that, but you're not ready for meds at this point and that wouldn't be the one a good psychiatrist would put you on for anxiety anyway.
