Memory/concentration with celexa

I was hoping for any success stories with memory/concentration problems being improved with celexa.  I am now on 40mg a day (20mg for about month, now 40 for about 2weeks) i was wondering when i can expect to really notice a difference, so i can decide if it is working well enough or i should try something else.
Thanks!

Meditation does seem to slow the flow of endless thoughts.  But its usually quite short lived, but doing it regularly might work on a long term basis as well.  I used to meditate but my life, stresses, and reasons for it were much different.  It does help to lessen anxiety.

Since you feel it's depression and anxiety causing the lack of concentration, I would recommend meditation.  It can really focus the mind, as well as increase energy.

Thanks,
I will give it a little time, before i go that route, I had a hearing test, and she said it might be ADHD as well, cause my 'hearing' is fine it seems i have a problem 'processing' what i hear.
But I honestly have had the best 3-4 days in a row that i've had in 5 years.  Nothing 'good' happened i just feel good pretty close to being happy all day.  So if by the time i see my psychiatrist again my memory doesnt improve i will bring up ADHD.
Thanks for the help!

Still sounds like it might be a form of ADHD.  That's why it's called attention deficit.  I would talk to your doctor about a possible combo of meds.  I take Celexa and if anything it makes my memory a little worse.

I'm pretty sure depression and anxiety are the cause of my memory problems.  I try to concentrate but my worries usually creep in and i think about them instead of what i'm reading.
Thanks

ssris aren't for that problem.  They're for depression and anxiety.  If those conditions are the root of your concentration problem, they might help, but if it isn't, they won't.  Often medications causes memory and concentration problems, as sometimes does going off them.  So nobody can tell you if it's working for that since many of us on here complain of the meds causing that.  Only time will tell whether a med works or not, but it's important to take the proper med.
