Mild anxiety. What is it from?

Im 22, female. A few years ago I had a couple panic attacks, probably because I had experienced with some drugs (meth) a few months prior. I spoke to a doctor who told me to lay off the caffeine completely.
Now about 4 years later, last night I had a mild panic attack, trying to fall asleep but I had an unnatural feeling, my heart was beating harder than usual so I couldnt sleep. I sat up and took deep breaths, my hands began to get sweaty yet cold. I sat up for about an hour, everytime I tried lying back down my heart rate would increase. Since I had experienced panic attacks in the past I reminded myself that it's nothing serious and it will go away with my breathing. Oh, I had a large cup of Mocha about 5hrs before. Anyway, eventually I calmed down and went to sleep. Than today I was at a work meeting, out of nowhere I got the feeling again. My heart began pounding. I had maybe 3 sips of tea 5hrs before, could that little amount of caffeine in the tea have that affect on me? Plus, Ive been having sweaty hands a lot lately, theyll get sweaty and cold, then warm and sticky. I constantly have to wash my hands. Whats going on? Am I stressing too much? What should I do?

I wish all I had was mild anxiety.  Yes of course the caffiene contributed.  You have a medical condition now.  Im no doc but once you have experienced a panic attack I dont think your mind forgets how to have one.  At least from my own experiences.  Lay off the caffiene youll be fine

Have you been stressed recently?  Panic attacks can seem to come out of nowhere and they sometimes perpetuate further panic attacks in my opinion.  That is what can make this cycle so hard to get out of sometimes.   Finding the root cause of your stress can also play a VERY important role in overcoming this in my opinion...keep us posted!
