its the stress on your muscles . when am under stress my shoulders/back has spasms to, i get really bad headackes from it myself. try putting heat pad on it or better if you have a spouce/bf a good massage would help. hot bath tub is good.

Anxiety can and does cause many things to happen to the body.
Stressful life events frequently trigger the onset of severe anxiety and ultimately physical symptoms like the ones you are having.
