PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP MY HEALTH ANXIEY!

Hello, I have serious health anxiety I am constantly terrified I am going to catch some life threatening disease, I am a 19yo female I have a 3 month old daughter and a lovely little family, I do not know why I am so anxious. I am from the U.K. And I am even terrified about this Ebola virus it is scaring me so much I am physically sick :( the virus isn't even in the UK! I have just gotten ready for bed and found a red patch of dry skin and worrying about it now I cannot sleep, my anxiety causes me to have physical symptoms such as difficulty taking a deep breath all day every day! I sometimes have chest pains too, i had bloods and ECG done and they came back fine that was a week ago, so I know it's nothing sinister but I cannot stop thinking it is and they are missing something, please can someone put my mind at rest :( i have the doctors in the morning so will talk about the dry skin patch. Any help and information is welcome. Thanks in advance!

We have just come home from a weekend away, whilst being away it hasn't been so bad it's been there but not bad. Now I'm home it's awful :( trying not to think about it but I can't when I can't breath properly! The doctors don't even help! They just give me medication they don't say to try anything natural! As I said I don't want medication because I want to be awake and be able to do things with my daughter not feels drowsy!

Hi I have this too, I have had it before but only lasted a day, this time I have had it for about 3 weeks, it's ruining my life, I kept thinking have I got lung cancer, I eventually went to the doctors after 15 years of not going as I'm petrified of doctors, she tested my oxegen level said it was 98% she said that was good as I'm a smoker! also said my heart is fine! since having this my anxiety is so bad! I can't eat or sleep, the first thing I think about when I do get a couple of hours sleep is my breathing, it's with me every second of the day, so I know what your all going through, I panick so much about it I spend half the day shaking, I think now it has caused me to be depressed, the doctor gave me a form to fill out and is going to give me medication next week as I can't live with this anymore, just keep feeling is it ever going to go away

I don't know how to control it, I try my hardest and it just happens and like I said it's constant. The doctors and hospital don't help :( they just give me tablets and I don't want to take them. I do not want to have to rely on them. I want to be strong for my daughter, I don't want tablets that are going to make me drowsy and tired :( what can I do? Any techniques? Why is it constant? I thought anxity was triggered by something not something that is there all the time for no reason. I cannot pin point what it is. I just know that I can't hold my temper like I used to, I get stressed very easily. I'm not getting much sleep because if my daughter, can lack of sleep make it worse?

ive been having those panic attacks /anxiety attacks / hypochondria for almost a month now, and they are eating me alive. Especially when i feel my heart racing, my brain stops thinking except for that one thing that is worrying me, body whole tensed, cant breath, dry mouth at the same time very weak but very hype at the same time, just like an impending doom.
And you get the fear of something bad is going to happen.
Been there, and still suffering it.
Im trying my best to control my thoughts, but easier said than done, something that led me to depression, but then again, a thought triggered this, so we should try and control our thoughts at least to be able to live healthily; as difficult as it sounds.

Its horrible, I don't even know what triggers it. It feels like someone is sat on my chest! It feels so heavy, if I'm out and about and busy I don't notice it but if I'm home it's all the time feeling like I can't breathe. I don't know what to do to stop it!

I too have serious health anxiety! I have spent most of the night googling symptoms of an aneurysm due to a four day on/off headache and pressure in my head! So I totally know how you feel! I'm from UK also but live in Canada at the moment! Ebola has also crossed my mind too, anything that' seems to pose a threat to life scares me!
I have had sertraline in the past to help with my anxiety and it was fantastic but I made the mistake after two months thinking 'I'm fine and cured' and stopped taking it! I've also got a counsellor who I am long overdue a chat with!
I guess my comment is only to let you know you're not alone xx

Hey here,
It's alright, take a deep breath... Even if it seems hard. I'm feeling the same thing! I'm from the US... TERRIFIED of the Ebola virus as well... I won't touch anyone, scared that I'll attract something. I have a cold right now, but every time I get to thinking about my headaches, my runny nose, the tightness in my chest... I start to think I'm coming down with something serious...
Usually my thoughts:
1.) cancer?
2.) Ebola?
3.) AM I GONNA DIE?
trust me, you have nothing to worry about. A patch of red dry skin is most likely normal, not Ebola because it hasn't spread to the UK. honey, you'll be alright. Just remind yourself it's anxiety! I'm here for you if you need to talk.
