Does MDMA affect anxiety?

Hi i've been thinking about trying mdma with friends soon and i wanted to know how much of a good/bad idea that is. I have an anxiety disorder that increases its effects whenever i smoke weed, and I know that weed is sometimes known to having negative effects on anxiety. So i guess I wanted to know if there are any side effects on anxiety disorder such as the ones I experience with marijuana use with Mdma? Basically, what are the effects of mdma use on people with anxiety disorder?

I would stay away from this drug.  It's a highly stimulating drug.  Some people do okay on ecstasy, but many people without anxiety problems freak out on it and due to its stimulating nature it's hard to come down from.  The only way you should ever take this would be under the treatment of a psychiatrist who uses it to bring out things under very controlled circumstances.  My question would be, given you know that even marijuana, a natural plant, increases anxiety, why would you want to risk something someone mixed up in an unregulated laboratory?  Peace.

Different people react differently to drugs.  It's very common for drugs to trigger anxiety.

The fact that you've already experienced drug induced anxiety before, with weed, it's likely you'll be conditioned to have the same kind of reaction.

My advice is to steer clear of it (and all other drugs) completely.  When one has anxiety, it's important to avoid triggers as much as possible...that would include mind altering substances, even alcohol if necessary.

You know what. Disregard everything I said. I probably shouldn't have posted or commented on something I know nothing about

I don't know if I'm getting old or stupid... but not sure what MDMA is. Assuming it is a drug I will say..... Drugs and alcohol don't mix well with anxiety. If its not a drug well nevermind that comment.
