Panic attacks

Has anyone here noticed an increase in your heart rate since you started having panic attacks.When I stand and do regular activities my heart beats so fast.I started a beta blocker which didn't work.I prob will be starting on a new one soon.

Hey Blkbuttafly, thats sounds about right!!! sounds very familiar to me anyway. When I had or have panic or anxiety, my heart rate is almost definately faster than normal, which creates even more panic and more anxiety after, which brings on the vicious circle :( The thing to remember very importantly though, is that its more than likely "NOT" your heart, and try to remember that the next time, that really helps. Also try some nice slow breathing excercises, works every time.

Hey my name ia izzy when I first started having panic attacks my heart rate was always high after.... The put me on a beta blocker and it's working for me, maybe u just need a higher dose ... How high dose ur heart rate get and what is it at rest...
