Please in need of some help

Ok I've been having anxiety for a while now, cause I'm moving out of state 2 weeks from now and I've been calling doctors nonstop for help but only got sorry but since your moving we can't help you. I was thinking a lot about going to the hospital for help because I can't seem to cope with my anxiety anymore, it's been getting out of hand cause this one thing and it's the moving and the train travel. I can hardly sleep at night cause of my anxiety. Please everyone I'm sorry for being annoying on this site but I just can't cope please I ask of anyone on this site. I'm not seeing a therapist or psychiatrist at the moment cause I'm in the middle of moving and I'm not on any medications. I'm asking on this site for advice and help, what should I do? If I go to the hospital will they treat me right than and there cause to be honest if they doctors say we like to keep u here I'll panic I'm not a harm to myself or others just scared because I don't know if I can cope with my panic attacks and anxiety if anyone has a story of they're own about they're hospital visit and how they got treated and how long you stayed to please leave a comment and I'll be sure to answer back thank you. Hope to hear back from yous before I really do go to the hospital

I understand agoraphobia; I'm having a difficult time leaving my own place right now and traveling is the worst.  The thing is, you're not doing anything to try to help yourself.  Over a month ago you wrote about this problem.  Why haven't you made an appointment with a doctor or a therapist?  My best advice to you at this point, if you want to calm down for the train ride, is to make an appointment with an MD ASAP, tell them that you need something to calm your fears of the train ride, and that once you're settled in your new place, you will follow up with an MD in the area or a psychologist or psychiatrist.  A lot of doctors will prescribe enough Xanax or Ativan for people who have anxiety to get them through the trip.  However, don't expect that they're going to give you a large prescription.

I understood what you were saying, but now that you've told us about the agoraphobia, that alters the picture quite drastically. We need to know everything you're dealing with if we are to try and help you, again. Is there anything else we should know about?
When you say you haven't been out of your house "in awhile," how long, exactly, are you talking about?
You are, apparently, not letting your agoraphobia stop you from moving since you state "i think i will never get any help for it and won't be able to leave the house once i move next week."
I'll be very honest with you. While I understand agoraphobia, why people aquire it and what it does to them, I've never experienced it and therefore really don't understand how hard it is to deal with. I don't feel that I am the right person to try and give you advice on how to cope with the things you are facing in your life right now.
I would sincerely advise you go to our Agoraphobia Forum and speak with people who have real knowledge, answers, advice and suggestions on how you can do this.
They will help you far more than I can.
I wish you the very best
Peace

I entirely agree with Greenlydia.  You were on this site a while back, so obviously the anxiety isn't getting any better, and you haven't tried to do anything about it.  Going to the ER for a panic attack really doesn't make any sense.  It's a temporary solution.  As Greenlydia said, the only thing they will do for you is give you something to calm down and send you on your way.  They are not going to keep you there because you don't need to be there.  If you really want to get over the anxiety, I'd recommend therapy and / or trying an SSRI.  I was given Xanax when I first went on the SSRI, but doctors will not just dole this out to anybody and everybody, and it's not generally intended for long-term use.  I used less than two prescriptions in eight years' time

IF your anxiety is due simply to the prospect of moving out of town and apparently doing that via train, then most doctors would not have a problem prescribing a small amount of a low dose benzo to help you get calmly to your destination.
But what I'm reading is that you're randomly CALLING doctors and asking them to prescribe a Schedule IV drug to a total stranger over the phone. Considering the doctor would lose his/her license by doing that, your disbelief that no body will help you is incredibly naive.
You asked what you should do. You should call one of those doctors that you've been playing "Dialing for Drugs" with  and make an actual appointment to see them. You need to explain your anxiety issues with them and in all probability they will prescribe something for you to take. Once you get to your new location, if you feel you still need medication, you will need to establish yourself with a new doctor. Doctors cannot write prescriptions to be filled in another state, it is against the law, so if the doctor in your home state does write you a script, don't bother calling him and asking for refills. He can't do it.
As for going to the Emergency Room, in your particular case, that is an increibly drastic and to be very blunt, not a very smart move. First of all, it's going to cost you 10X what an appointment with a GP will cost, the first thought that will go through the doctors heads in the ER is that you're a drug seeker and they will do blood work to check for that. If you go into an ER and are not there for an obvious, immediate medical emergency but to try and talk a doctor into giving meds because new places and trains make you anxious, I can tell you now the triage nurse won't even let you in the door.
To be very honest, the Emergency Room gambit is NOT going to work. But, and this is a large BUT, even if you did manage to get past the triage nurse and see a doctor and he determined that you were indeed having some anxiety/panic issues AT THAT MOMENT, he just might give you something right then and there to calm you down. What he will NOT do is hand you a prescription for a gob of benzos. You will be told to go home and sleep and see your doctor ASAP. What WILL work is sitting down with a doctor and explaining your problems in an honest and open way.
I don't know if this will reach you before you head out to the ER, but let me know how that worked out for you, OK?
