Thank You to everyone for your advice it REALLY helps
It seems that Manno has good advice. One avenue Manno didn't mention is religion, If you are Catholic, they have Social Services. I'm not aware of other places, but try calling a nearby hospital. They may have a clinic. Good luck. Life can be so damn tough, but hang on and you will be blessed. I'm sending you good thoughts and blessings.

Good luck and take care.
I think I might start by calling the Dept. of Health and Welfare and begin the process of being handed off to one agency after another. With any luck, it won't take more than a week (or two) until you eventually get someone who can help. Sorry to be so negative, but they're called bureaucracies for a reason!
Being unemployed, are you eligible for any kind of public assistance?
Did the doctors at the ER start you on some sort of medication? Either an antidepressant or an antianxiety med? If so, it is my belief that until you can get with another doctor to prescribe that med, the ER docs are obligated to give you that med to keep you from going into severe w/d or worse. You can take your letter from the p-doc proving you have an appt. Please bear in mind one thing.........most ER docs who believe you are only looking for drugs and a way to get high will write, in big red letters across the top of your file "DRUG SEEKER."
Cincinnati is a big city, I wish I had more and better ideas to give you, but somewhere there is a place for you to get help.
And I think every one of us can relate to your money issues. $158 IS a great deal of money to me right now. Our dog desperately needs some medication that costs $120. We don't have it. We have no one to borrow from. We have no credit cards. Our dog is suffering and the vet won't let us make payments. Don't be embarrassed or make excuses about not being able to afford things anymore. The vast majority of us are in the same leaky canoe.
I hope someone else will post with much better ideas. Don't give up! If nothing else, write to us. We're definitely better than nothing! :)
Peace
Greenlydia
Well, my psychiatrist calls me up every night to tell me his problems, so I don't have the same situation.
No psychiatrist is going to treat you in a single visit. You are talking about many sessions. Then there are the costs of medications. And don't assume medications will be prescribed after a single visit.
Visit your local hospital and see if they can refer you to a clinic that will charge a minimal fee. Ask to see a social worker.
