Still no answers for me..

Well its been almost 2 yrs for me with symptoms of blurry vision with ghost images.. An off feeling that never goes away not dizziness but sort of.. When I squeeze things I shake and I seem to be fatigued a lot.. I have stayed with my dr even tho I did get a 2nd opinion but was told could be cancer and he ran his test all normal so I went back to my dr.. Also been to two Neuros 2nd neuro told me that my issues are Anxiety 60% Hormones 20% I took a nasal spray called Gentimicin and it can damage the inner ear and nervous system so he said that could be possible.. So 10% there and then he also said the surgery I had on my foot could of caused some issues so another 10%

I find it hard to buy into neuro did set me up for an ENG test and I passed it with flying colors all normal he told me even if it was normal he would not rule out inner ear damage from the drug he said it could be minimal damage and I would have to learn to deal with it because there Is no treatment..

I did find out my total testosterone was low it was 187 so I was put on Androgel and after 6 weeks my level had dropped to 185 so I am now on Testosterone shots I have taken 4 one shot every two weeks..

I am also being treated for B12 issues although I feel my levels are up I still take the shot never found out why it got low no test revealed anything as to why..

My dr did do a blood tet for Mysthesia Gravis but it was negative..

I am just at a loss as to why its been 2 yrs and no relief can anxiety really do this to you 24/7?? I mean 60% is a high number. Neuro dr said he dosent need to see me anymore and told me to stop the worry on all the bad neuro diseases out there he said you don't have them. He did say I have an essential tremor but also said I don't need treatment for it at this time..

Anxiety I have a hard time accepting it I am in therapy weekly but will be going every 2 weeks to see how I do.. Any input would be great thanks..

Hey there my friend!

I think you've been thoroughly assessed by numerous doctors and have numerous diagnostic tests.  It seems that the ONLY thing you maybe HAVEN'T put a lot of work into is the anxiety possibility.  Even IF your problems aren't solely caused by anxiety (which they absolutely may be), you definitely contend with anxiety, so it needs addressed.

You have a history of anxiety and "what if" worries.  Knowing your history where that is concerned, it really makes me suspicious that a lot of your symptoms are anxiety induced.

It's hard for many people to accept that anxiety is indeed the culprit, and really, the only way to rule it out or in, is to address it and start treating it.  If you get involved in a comprehensive treatment plan for anxiety, you work hard at it and give it some time...you'll be able to assess when the anxiety improves, if the other symptoms do as well (which they will if indeed this is mostly anxiety), and then you have your answer!!   I think it's only fair though that you put some real effort into that as well, instead of having tunnel vision and only pursuing one kind of treatment.

Certainly keep working with your doctor(s) as well, but in my honest opinion, I tend to agree with the anxiety theory for you.  I wouldn't recommend going crazy with tons and tons more involved diagnostic studies, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend trying to add on a bunch of supplements until maybe you address the anxiety first.

If you do decide to try a more natural holistic approach, definitely seek out a practitioner who knows what he/she is doing, or else you run the risk of making yourself worse in the long run.  Make sure your doctors and pharmacists always know everything you take, including any OTC meds, or supplements.  Vitamins, supplements and OTC meds come with risks as well, just like Rx meds, which is why it's so important that you would have an experienced practitioner on board, as well as keeping your PCP in the loop as well.

Good luck!

Its just a fact that some health issues we have will not be diagnosed by Traditional MDs . I've been there and I'm a health professional myself. If you could, you  might want to try Holistic Practitioners instead -they go more for Natural cures and their goal is keep you healthy as opposed to giving you a diagnosis and matching it with Medications as they learned in Med School.
I have to add that Magnesium blood levels will not be accurate. Magnesium is in the muscles, tissues, brain, and blood pulls from it to maintain a normal blood level. So it could  be lacking but it will not show in the blood. Its essentially difficult to test Mg by blood levels alone. The best way is to take Mg -- its a nutritional supplement and the body needs it. take note of how it affects you. What Mg were you taking if I may ask, it sounds like the kind that would affect your stomach. There are other choices.
As precaution, Mg can not be used by Kidney faillure pts.   .
One other note is that it will take 6 months to 12 to build up your Mg stores. Spray Mg will help to speed it up.

To review the kind of Mg you are taking--
  Oral Magnesium Supplements from google:
- – -The RDA (the minimum amount needed) for magnesium is about 300 - 400 mg a day. Most of us get far less than 200 mg.
- – -Some may need much more depending on their condition.
- – -Most people benefit from 400 to 1,000 mg a day.
- – -The most absorbable forms are magnesium citrate, glycinate taurate, or aspartate.
- – -Avoid magnesium carbonate, sulfate, gluconate, and oxide.
- – -Side effects from too much magnesium include diarrhea, which can be avoided if you switch to magnesium glycinate.
- – -Most minerals are best taken as a team with Vit D3, B complex and Calcium rich food.
As you said, you want to wait and see and stay with how you are..
It's you choice of course, or you could start taking the right nutritional supplements.
Its also fruitful to read up and search . It's a big accomplishmentl to learn more about your own health for you and your family and not completely depend on health professionals. You'd understand yourself better.
Good luck to you which ever way you go. I wish you well .

I don't know of any other test to ask for... MRI/CT Scans all kinds of blood work.. Even had ultra sound of heart and neck arteries done. My mag was in the normal level range when checked and I did try taking supplements for that but my stomach stayed messed up so I stopped.. Thanks for the comments. But I trust my drs so far I have been told basically to wait and see approach.

Your symptoms of Distorted vision, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, anxiety, panic attacks,, shaking, essential tremor, fatigue, weakened hearing, are all in the List of Magnesium Deficiency. and hundreds more.
Magnesium is involved in 325 body enzyme processes that lack of it will manifest in many health issues. Its easy to lose Mg to cause deficiency.
Please Search   : Magnesium deficiency.on Google and You tube. Dr Carolyn Dean and Mark Sircus.
The most common at drug stores but the wrong one to take is Mg Oxide - With this kind, Mg  is not kept by the body due to the loose stools that it will cause.
Mg Glycinate is a better choice as its intestinal friendly. Building it in the system will take 6 mos to 12 months, so it would help you more if you would also use transdermal Mg - which is the Mg Chloride spray. It works instantly and will help to build Mg in the system faster.
Its important also to maintain   Mg calcium balance by being aware to eat calcium rich food, take Vit D3 and   Vit B complex in the 100 mg. range.
Give it time and take note. As some of your symptoms disappears, you will even forget you had them. Sleep and calm are good results that can be achieved after a few doses.
It took me many years to find Magnesium, it has given me the answer to most of the health issues in my family. Just like your case, the Doctors couldn't tell us either despite tests and exams as to what was going on. Most of the population that they have tested are low in Mg. just because of our daily stressful lives and the kinds of food we eat. etc.
I hope you get the right kind of Mg  for you as getting the wrong kind won't do anything. I get mine on line .. Take care and I wish you well.

The dizziness can be caused by ear damage. I'm sure you're well aware of that.
The body needs B vitamins everyday. We don't hold on to them like other vitamins so if you're not taking a supplement or eating vitamin B rich foods you can be low.
I have a little bit of a head tremor too and I did talk to my Dr about it. She said it could be caused from anxiety or it could be essential tremor. I do notice it more when I'm very stressed or anxious.
Are you taking any meds for your anxiety? I know it's really hard to except that anxiety can cause so many different symptoms but it sure can.
You've had a lot of testing done but if you can you may want to get even more tests to rule out any other possible causes for your symptoms.
