Dear FilmFreak,
although the message is very old, I would keep in touch with you for more information. Thanks.
I suffer from both. My visual snow is due to epilepsy in my occipital lobe. I also have temporal lobe epilepsy, which my doctor thinks is contributing to or causing my anxiety. This went undiagnosed for years because my epilepy didn't show up on an eeg. While eegs can be a great diagnostic tool, it does not always catch seizures. Unfortunately, many neurologists treat it as if it does. They were treating me like I was being a hypochondriac, until it showed up on a spect test, and subsequent MRI showed that I had some brain damage in my occipital lobe do to complications when my mother was pregnant with me. You probably should talk to your doctor about this possibility.
I do, anxiety started last August for me and this spring I started seeing floaters. I went to the eye dr twice and he said both times my eyes were good. have you gone to an eye dr? My reg, dr said that everyone has them, its just some peoples body's notices them and some don't.
