Visual/environment/noise triggers for anxiety and panic

Does anyone have experience desensitizing themselves to busy spots, noise,  fluorescent lights or places such as big-box stores, food courts and cafeterias, crowded spaces with too many people.  Busy patterns on floors or furniture also exacerbate anxiety and trigger panic attacks.  I feel like I am going to faint but thankfully never do.  How do I desensitize myself to these triggers?  I know I can't stay home or run home every time I panic.  Thanks for any advice you can offer.

yeah certain places do that to me, i have ran out of many a supermarket, and mcdonalds is bad cause its so bright in there, i asked people come in the supermarket with me it has got better but i dont think i could do it alone though, another one for me is my local small shop it seems like the people who take the money are soooo slow and its always busy so when i go in i always buy a paper or magazine and read it while im in the que it does seem to help, i sometimes count in my head anything really to take my mind off it, it will get better
